The Melbourne International Undergraduate Scholarship is offered to high-achieving international students who completed secondary school outside Australia or foundation studies in Australia and are planning to enroll in undergraduate degrees. It is a partially funded scholarship for international students. The University of Melbourne provides 50 scholarships each year for undergraduate studies. These scholarships will provide a $10,000 tuition fee remission in the first year of an undergraduate degree.
Melbourne International Undergraduate Scholarship Eligibility Criteria:
To be eligible for this scholarship,
Candidate must not be a permanent resident of Australia, be a citizen of a country other than Australia and New Zealand
Must have completed secondary school outside Australia or a foundation program in Australia
The candidate has received an unconditional offer for an undergraduate course at the University of Melbourne
Applicant must have a secondary school result that places him in the top 3%, such as:
at least three A* grades with numerical grades and an average result of at least 97% in the best three subjects at GCE A levels
An overall result of at least 98% if studied in a foundation program in Australia
International Baccalaureate (IB): a score of at least 43 (must be completed at a secondary school outside of Australia)
GPA of at least 3.9 in US High School in combination with an SAT of at least 1500 or an ACT of at least 31
An overall score of at least 97% in Canada Secondary Schools
An overall score of at least 98% in India Secondary Schools (CBSE, ISCE, or State Board Exam)
An overall Year 12 GPA of at least 9.7 or above in Vietnam High School
not have previously undertaken any tertiary studies (excluding extension studies completed as part of a year 12 program)
