Douglas College offers nearly $100,000 in entrance scholarships to new international students each year who shown outstanding academic backgrounds. Douglas College currently offers two categories of entrance scholarships for Fall, Winter, and Summer semesters.

Douglas College International Student Scholarship 2024-2025 is an undergraduate and graduate scholarship for international students. This scholarship covers up to CAD 7000 of the tuition fees.

Douglas International Education Regional Entrance Award: $1000 – 2000

This scholarship is offered to only CIS countries (Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Ukraine and Uzbekistan), Europe, Latin America, Middle East, Africa, East Asia, Southeast Asia, and South Asia (Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal) international students who want to study in Canada.

Dr. Guangwei Ouyang International Education Entrance Scholarship: $2500 

This scholarship is offered to international students from all over the world. Students are selected based on their previous academic performance and their engagement in their school, community, and/or personal development.

Study Sessions and Deadlines:

Summer (May 2024):

  • From June 1, 2023 applications are open for the summer session. All programs are closed, except College Preparatory English Certificate.
  • The deadline for the summer session is January 31.

Fall (September 2024):

  • From October 3, 2023 applications are open for the fall session. Accepting applications. Some programs are closed.
  • The deadline for the fall session is May 31

Winter (January 2024):

  • From February 1, 2024 applications are open for the winter session.
  • The deadline for the winter session is September 30

Douglas College International Student Scholarship covers up to CAD 7000 of the tuition fees

Eligibility criteria for the Douglas College Scholarships 2024:

  • Students from all countries are eligible for these scholarships.
  • Applicants must have good previous academic performance, and engagement in their school, community, and/or personal development.
  • Applicants typically have an above-average GPA (B equivalent or higher) and strong English language proficiency test scores (i.e. IELTS 7.0 and above, or equivalent).
  • To be eligible, students must have applied to Douglas College by the official semester application deadline.
